Job summary

Key People in Houston is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical or mechanical EPC construction projects onsite with substantial travel. You will oversee all phases from preconstruction through closeout and serve as the primary liaison among clients, executives, field teams, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, utility, or EPC construction.
• Minimum 5 years managing complex, large-scale construction projects with significant financial and operational responsibility.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software: Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience with contract negotiations, risk mitigation, and cost forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for large-scale electrical, mechanical, or industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow, profitability, and change management.
• Direct and coordinate project teams, field crews, and subcontractors to align with objectives, schedules, and contractual obligations.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, owners, GC's, and stakeholders; be the primary contact for performance and planning.
• Oversee scheduling, procurement, labor productivity, material management, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, codes, and quality requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and engineers; identify process improvements.
