Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support industrial maintenance of material handling systems. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and interpret schematics to diagnose faults.

Work with PLC/controls, welding/fabrication, and EAM software while adhering to safety standards. May participate in small projects and coordinate with higher-level technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; certificates in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Four years’ experience in industrial maintenance with power transmission and electrical skills.
• Experience interpreting schematics, manuals, and engineering specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controls issues.
• Interpret schematics and manuals to diagnose faults and escalate when needed.
• Enter prescribed data into Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
• Collaborate with team and vendors; support projects and safety initiatives.
