Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an Maintenance Technician III to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems. You will troubleshoot electrical, PLC/controls, and mechanical components, interpret schematics, and use EAM software for data entry and retrieval.

The role requires four years of industrial maintenance experience, with strong mechanical power transmission, electrical, PLC, and welding/fabrication skills, plus a safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area and an associate degree in a related area preferred.
• Four (4) years experience in Industrial Maintenance with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical and working knowledge of PLC/Controls and welding/fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, provides preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems through proficiency in mechanical power transmission and electrical with working knowledge of PLC/controls and welding/fabrication.
• Adheres to safety standards and promotes a safe work environment by attending safety meetings and trainings.
• Interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manufacturer's manuals and engineering specs to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair system faults or determine escalation.
• Responds to sort calls to diagnose problems and make repairs.
• Utilize Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
• May read PLCs and burn EEPROMs; may assist lower level technicians; may develop scopes of work for small projects.
