Job summary

FedEx is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to support our material handling systems across the facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and PLC/controls issues, and repair components using welding/fabrication skills.

Safety and accurate EAM data management are essential. You will work with senior technicians on complex control tasks, read schematics, and develop small project scopes where needed, contributing to reliable operation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics or related certificates, and an associate degree when available, are preferred.
• Four (4) years of industrial maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical and PLC/controls with welding/fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and PLC/controls failures and repair.
• Read schematics and manuals to diagnose faults and escalate when needed.
• Interpret engineering specs and perform safety compliant tasks.
• Enter and retrieve data in the EAM system.
• Work with higher level technicians on complex control issues.
• May develop scopes of work for small local projects.
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in trainings.
