Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician III to join our Decatur manufacturing team. You will perform high-level troubleshooting, execute preventive maintenance, and mentor junior technicians while supporting a 24/7 operation with potential weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and control systems, leading PM schedules for motors, conveyors, and HVAC/R equipment, and interpreting schematics for upgrades.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Reading, math and basic tools competency.
Available to work any shift and overtime as needed.
Must be 18 years or older.
May require valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Advanced Troubleshooting: complex root-cause analysis on electrical systems and automated equipment.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: lead PM schedules for motors, pumps, conveyors, HVAC/R etc.
Technical Leadership: mentor Level 1/2 technicians and provide on-the-job guidance.
Schematics & Documentation: interpret blueprints and electrical schematics for upgrades.
