Job summary

Amentum seeks a highly advanced General Maintenance Technician V to join our manufacturing maintenance team. This role provides expert preventive and corrective maintenance in a large industrial environment including clean rooms, with a focus on HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate will diagnose complex equipment issues, perform CMMS-driven maintenance, operate forklifts and cranes, weld and fabricate, and ensure safety compliance across all activities.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience performing mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment or equivalent.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial facility equipment and systems including HVAC, compressors, chillers and conveyors.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting and 480V systems.
• High safety standards and ability to work at heights up to 30 feet in aerial lifts.
• Experience welding and fabricating.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs maintenance functions following safety guidelines and PPE usage.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and conveyors.
• Performs preventive and corrective electrical/mechanical maintenance on facility systems.
• Operates forklifts, cranes, and rigging using safe procedures.
• Recommends improvements to maintenance methods and equipment performance.
• Maintains CMMS records and schedules preventive tasks.
