Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician in Ames, IA to support our industrial maintenance team. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities equipment, troubleshoot conveyors, pumps, HVAC, and related systems.

Duties include documenting work in CMMS and ensuring safety compliance. Required are a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years of experience in an industrial environment; an associate degree is preferred.≥ We offer daytime M-F shifts with

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years in industrial maintenance.
• Preferred associate degree in industrial electrical, HVAC, or related field.
• Experience with 480V 3-phase electrical components is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoots conveyors, R/O systems, pumps, and HVAC components.
• Operates forklift equipment and uses basic diagnostic tools.
• Documents PMs and repairs in CMMS and follows safety procedures.
