Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will perform field investigations, size and select equipment, prepare conceptual and final construction documents, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project success.

You’ll own the schedule and technical quality of challenging tasks, collaborate with engineers and vendors, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
