Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join the Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing group. The role involves performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages for heavy industrial clients.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
