Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team in the United States. You will design, size, and document industrial HVAC systems, and prepare construction packages in collaboration with engineers and vendors.

Required are 10+ years in industrial HVAC, proficiency in Revit, knowledge of applicable codes, and the ability to collaborate remotely in a hybrid office/project environment. Base pay ranges from $102,900 to $150,000 depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
