Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager in the Phoenix (AZ) or Austin (TX) area to lead the Industrial Facilities Design team. You will guide planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities for global leaders.

You’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and navigate schedule, budget, and quality targets from concept through startup, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-performance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture; or 4+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 8+ years of experience in the design industry; 5+ years as a Project Manager.
• Experience designing major capital industrial projects within an engineering or architecture firm.
• Experience in automotive plants and industrial/manufacturing projects is highly desired.
• Strong contract management, pre-design, pre-construction, and construction administration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for multidisciplinary project teams from planning through completion.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and strategic stakeholders.
• Develop project execution plans, resource strategies, and delivery approaches.
• Align scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management objectives.
• Facilitate change management and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor financial performance, invoicing, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Manage contracts for consultants and external service providers.
• Drive communication, accountability, and collaboration among stakeholders.
• Mentor project managers and support project delivery excellence.
• Support business development, pursuits, presentations, qualifications, and fee proposals.
• Travel as necessary for client and project engagement.
