Job summary
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control seeks a Manager to lead an industrial engineering team within the Industrial Engineering Center of Excellence. This role owns the people, priorities, and delivery of the engineering basis for how production work is defined, timed, scheduled, and measured across the MFC manufacturing network.
The selected candidate will hire, develop, and retain technical talent, balance staffing and funding, and present recommendations to senior leadership while ensuring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Systems Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering or operations analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership of engineers or analysts as a supervisor or lead.
- Experience owning delivery commitments across concurrent efforts and internal customers.
- Working knowledge of labor standards, routings, and ERP production data structures.
Responsibilities
- Lead, staff, and develop a team of industrial engineers across multiple sites.
- Set priorities against inbound demand and decide what the team takes on or declines.
- Own the team's delivery commitments across standards refresh and capacity analysis.
- Defend the engineering basis for standards, routings, and scheduling parameters to leadership.
- Deploy common methods across sites to centralize capability.
- Manage staffing plans, workload balance, and funding charges.
- Represent the function in governance, rate readiness, and capital decisions.
- Hire, develop, and retain technical talent with performance management.
