Job description

Standard Job Description

You will be the Operations Analyst Manager for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Industrial Engineering Center of Excellence in Orlando, FL. Our team owns the engineering foundation for how production work is defined, timed, scheduled and measured across the MFC manufacturing network, delivering consistent, high‑quality processes to machining, energetics, electronics integration, and test operations.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Operations Analyst Manager you will lead a multi‑site industrial‑engineering team, set priorities against inbound demand, and ensure the delivery of standards, capacity analyses, span‑reduction studies, and layout‑flow work. You will act as the champion for the engineering basis of work‑center efficiency, routings and scheduling parameters, and defend those standards to program, finance and operations leadership.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Lead, staff, mentor and develop a team of industrial engineers supporting multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Prioritize inbound work, deciding what the team takes on, returns with a defined method, or declines.
  • Own delivery commitments for standards refresh, capacity and rate analysis, span‑reduction, and layout/flow projects.
  • Maintain and defend the engineering basis for standards, routings, work‑center efficiency and scheduling parameters.
  • Deploy common methods across sites so that capability resides in the process, not in individuals.
  • Manage staffing plans, balance workloads, and charge effort against program and functional funding.
  • Represent the function in governance forums, rate‑readiness reviews, and capital/footprint decision meetings.
  • Hire, develop, and retain technical talent, handling performance management and succession planning.
Why Join Us

We are looking for a collaborative, results‑driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced defense‑aerospace environment. You will shape the way MFC manufactures critical systems, work with cutting‑edge technologies, and influence a broad portfolio of programs. LockheedMartin offers competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, flexible work‑schedule options, and a culture that values innovation, growth‑mindset, and work‑life balance. If you are passionate about industrial engineering leadership and want to make a tangible impact on mission‑critical operations,

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution
  • 6 years of professional experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations analysis, or related field
  • Demonstrated leadership of engineers or analysts as a formal supervisor or technical lead
  • Experience owning delivery commitments across multiple concurrent efforts and competing internal customers
  • Working knowledge of labor standards, routings, and ERP production data structures: work centers, lead time, capacity, order execution
  • Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to senior operations, program, or finance leadership
  • Experience working directly on a factory floor with production, planning, and quality
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret security clearance.

US citizenship required

Desired Skills
  • Prior formal people leadership in an engineering or manufacturing function
  • Experience leading a team supporting multiple sites or programs concurrently
  • Direct SAP PP experience: routings, work centers, capacity planning, order execution, scheduling parameters
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1567A and the Type 1 and Type 2 engineered standard distinction
  • Experience standing up a new capability or function rather than sustaining an established one
  • Familiarity with EVMS concepts, earned value, and EAC development on a labor hour basis
  • Experience with capacity modeling, discrete event simulation, or factory layout at the network level
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or kaizen event facilitation experience
  • Demonstrated record of hiring and developing technical talent
  • Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated low rate high mix production
  • Active DoD security clearance
