Job summary

Schneider Electric's Process Automation Services team is seeking a Senior Systems Service Engineer to provide expert technical support, commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrades, cybersecurity implementation, and lifecycle services for DCS, PLCs, SIS, and related automation tech. Candidates travel up to 75% in the southeast region; residence within service territory preferred.

Qualifications

Associate's or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, process control, or control systems engineering.
Experience supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial control systems.
Strong knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs and HMI platforms.
Strong knowledge of industrial networking and process instrumentation.
Ability to read P&IDs, electrical drawings, control narratives, and functional specifications.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote support for industrial automation and control systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, networking, and process control issues.
Maintain customer systems with software updates, patches, quick fixes, and hardware upgrades.
Deliver detailed service reports and technical documentation.
Support emergency service requests when required.
