Job summary

Employee Workplace is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Greater Philadelphia area. You will install, configure, test, and commission industrial automation and control systems, working directly with customers to keep critical equipment operating reliably.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience with process control systems, hands-on PLC/DCS skills, and strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-service abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with process control systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, DCS platforms, and industrial networking.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission industrial automation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, networking, and system integration issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on customer equipment.
• Support hardware installation, instrumentation wiring, loop checks, and startup activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project records.
• Deliver customer training and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
• Travel to customer sites and provide occasional after-hours support as needed.
