Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Manager, Import Customs House Brokerage (CHB) to oversee day-to-day import clearance for air, ocean, and domestic freight. You will establish policies, lead the team, and ensure compliance with CBP and PGA regulations while meeting customer SOPs and KPIs.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in international freight forwarding import customs brokerage, 3+ years of supervisory experience, and 1+ year as a licensed customs broker.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in international freight forwarding import customs brokerage (air, ocean, and/or domestic)
• 3+ years supervisory/people-management experience
• 1+ years Licensed Customs Broker
• Customs Brokerage License (required)

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing import shipments across all modes.
• Lead import team: hire, coach, train and develop staff; set and review policies and standards.
• Meet KPI targets for Import CHB product and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Qualification of customers' shipping requirements and preparation of accurate quotations.
• Coordinate import schedules and communication with customers, carriers, customs brokers, and ports.
• Oversee tracking of delays, damages, and problems; ensure timely clearances and delivery.
• Ensure entries are billed within guidelines and drive continuous improvement.
