Job summary

Fall River Public Schools in Fall River, MA is seeking a Team Chair to lead IEP planning and implementation. You will support school teams in evaluating eligibility, organize initial and reevaluation IEPs, chair meetings, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with district procedures.

You will communicate with parents, coordinate progress reporting, and support transitions while upholding least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts K-12 licensure required or eligible.
• Substantial experience in regular and/or special education settings.
• Commitment to diversity and equitable access to high-quality instruction.
• Experience designing and implementing standards-based instruction.
• Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
• Demonstrated culturally responsive teaching and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Chair IEP team meetings and take notes.
• Coordinate evaluation processes and eligibility discussions.
• Organize initial and reevaluation IEPs with staff.
• Maintain documentation according to district checklist.
• Communicate with parents and be available during contract hours.
• Oversee progress reports and transitions between placements.
• Stay current with Federal/State regulations and district policies.
• Support staff with plan compliance and related issues.
• Assist with coordinating district programming and services.
• Ensure least restrictive environment for students.
