Job summary

Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School in Worcester, MA seeks an experienced Special Education Evaluation Team Leader to guide IEP teams, oversee evaluation and compliance, and coordinate transitions across grades. Under the Director of Special Education, you will ensure programs meet federal and state requirements and align with district policy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field with coursework/experience in administration, supervision, or guidance.
• DESE certification as Special Education Teacher or Related Service Provider.
• SEI Endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• IEP Team Leadership: Chairperson for IEP team meetings; review documents and evaluation data; oversee IEP development and resource allocation.
• Compliance Oversight: oversee evaluation process, IEP development, and DESE reporting requirements.
• Referrals & Transitions: coordinate referral process and transition planning across all school levels.
• Policy & Regulation: implement procedures required by state and federal laws; interpret DESE regulations for eligibility and LRE.
• Staff Consultation: advise on assessments, curriculum modifications, and accommodations; assist with program evaluations and testing.
• Community & Agency Liaison: help families understand processes and coordinate with state agencies.
• Professional Development: participate in ongoing training to stay current on methods and updates.
• Collaboration: work with leadership on resource allocation and service delivery.
