Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts and federal special education regulations.
• MA DESE licensure required in SPED or related field.
• Minimum of three years working with Special Education students and facilitating Team meetings in public education.

Responsibilities

• Chair/facilitate all Initial, Annual, Re-evaluation, and Manifestation Determination Meetings
• Schedule all IEP meetings within mandated timelines with the Special Education Clerk
• Ensure IEP paperwork is provided to parents within required timelines
• Supervise and coordinate completion of all IEP paperwork and progress reports on time
• Oversee implementation of IEPs as accepted by parents
• Collaborate with Principals and Director of Pupil Personnel Services to provide FAPE, LRE, and specialized services
