Job summary

Northbridge Public Schools in Whitinsville, MA is seeking a Team Chairperson for the Pupil Personnel Services department to oversee IEP processes, MTSS coordination, and compliance with state and federal special education laws.

The designee will chair IEP and MDT meetings, supervise paperwork timelines, collaborate with building leaders, and support curriculum development while maintaining MA DESE licensure and delivering FAPE.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts and federal special education regulations; MA DESE licensure as a special education professional.
• A minimum of three (3) years working with Special Education students and facilitating Team meetings in public education.

Responsibilities

• Chair/facilitate all Initial, Annual, Re-evaluation, and Manifestation Determination Meetings.
• Schedule all IEP meetings within mandated timelines.
• Ensure all IEP paperwork is provided to parents within required timelines.
• Supervise and coordinate all IEP paperwork, including progress reports, within timelines.
• Oversee implementation of IEPs accepted by parents.
• Collaborate with Principal and Director to provide FAPE, LRE, and specialized instruction and services.
• Review student assessment data and analyze trends for IEP meetings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regular education and special education staff.
