Job summary

FNTS is seeking a Sr. IBM iSeries Engineer to maintain customer IBM i environments, plan migrations and manage backups as part of a managed services team. This remote role supports customers across the United States.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in IBM iSeries administration, strong iOS/POWER knowledge, and experience with MIMIX/PowerHA and automation tools. Sponsorship is not offered due to current customer engagements.

Qualifications

• IBM iSeries System Administration with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience with POWER systems hardware and LPARs via HMC.
• Experience with storage management in SAN/JBOD environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and requests with in-depth analysis to meet SLAs.
• Proactively review issues to prevent future problems as part of Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain system documentation and assist with migrations to FNTS/remotes.
