Job summary

FNTS is seeking a Sr. IBM iSeries Engineer to maintain customer IBM i environments, handle backups, and support migrations. The role is remote, nationwide, and requires deep expertise with iSeries systems, OS upgrades, and disaster recovery tooling.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience with BRMS, MIMIX, iTera, PowerHA, and CL programming, plus strong communication and independent work skills. Equal opportunity employer; benefits available.

Qualifications

• IBM iSeries Administration is required with 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of i/OS versions from V5R4 to V7R3 and POWER hardware.
• Experience with LPAR configuration using HMC.
• Experience with storage in JBOD, RAID, SAN environments.
• Familiar with BRMS backup solutions and system recovery.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and requests with in-depth analysis to meet SLAs.
• Contribute to FNTS Continuous Improvement by reviewing issues and preventing recurrence.
• Perform reporting and documentation as required by customer.
• Assist with OS upgrades, PTF deployment, and system migrations/planning.
