Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Sr Staff Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, SCADA, to own governance and scaling for SCADA across a portfolio of data center projects. You will define standards, ensure uniform data structures, and guide vendor implementations to meet project needs with speed and reliability.

You will work with engineering peers to balance standardization with project-specific requirements, mentored by senior team members and focused on safety, reliability, and performance in critical

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mission-critical or related industrial control systems environments.
• Deep mastery of the Ignition SCADA platform and version control systems for industrial projects.
• Hosting methodologies including containerization and orchestration with bare-metal deployment.
• Extensive knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet IP/MS/TP, EtherNet/IP, IEC 61850 and related IO protocols.
• OT security fundamentals, Purdue model, and secure remote access concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own SCADA governance and drive scaling across Crusoe data center projects.
• Define standards and levers for uniform data structures feeding downstream systems.
• Document governance, tagging, version control, and vendor standards clearly.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop flexible approaches across projects.
• Ensure governance is implementable by vendor field teams in real conditions.
• Act as SME for escalated governance questions and cross-team alignment.
