Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems LLC seeks a Sr Staff Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, SCADA, to own governance of the control layer across Crusoe data center deployments, spanning modular, colocation, and hyperscale builds. You will define standards and levers to ensure uniform data structures feeding downstream cloud and customer systems.

You will work with engineering peers to create scalable, vendor-implementable approaches, drive documentation for governance, and elevate the technical bar

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mission-critical or related industrial control systems environments.
• Deep mastery of the Ignition SCADA platform and version control systems.
• Familiar with hosting methodologies including containers and bare-metal deployment.
• Strong knowledge of data center and industrial control protocols (Modbus, BACnet, EtherNet/IP, IEC 61850).
• OT/ICS security fundamentals and ability to collaborate with security teams.
• Excellent cross-functional communication across engineering, vendors, and cloud teams.

Responsibilities

• Own SCADA governance and scaling strategy for deployed data center projects.
• Define standards that ensure uniform data structures feeding cloud and downstream systems.
• Develop and maintain governance documentation covering tagging, version control, and vendor standards.
• Collaborate with engineering peers to standardize approaches while allowing project-specific flexibility.
• Ensure vendor implementability of governance frameworks and maintain accountability across the pipeline.
• Serve as SME for escalated governance questions and mentor peers informally.
