Job summary
Crusoe seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to own control system deliverables for major modules, from concept through as-built, including FAT and field verification. You will work at Crusoe's Denver base with travel to manufacturing partners and deployment sites.
Denver is your home base with ~25% travel; you will mentor junior engineers, drive platform standardization, and coordinate with control panel fabricators, systems integrators, and instrument vendors to ensure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 5–8 years of professional experience in industrial instrumentation and controls across design and commissioning lifecycle.
- Strong working knowledge of Rockwell/AB Studio 5000 and ControlLogix/CompactLogix.
- Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA or similar platform for tagging, screens, and historian.
- Proven ability to author and execute testing procedures and drive issues to closure.
Responsibilities
- Own the I&C design deliverables for building-level or major systems from concept through as-built.
- Develop FAT protocols and lead factory acceptance testing of control panels and modules.
- Resolve non-standard conditions by adapting procedures with minimal guidance.
- Improve repeatable design packages, templates, and test procedures for scale.
- Coordinate with control panel fabricators, systems integrators, and instrument vendors on submittals.
- Coordinate commissioning readiness activities to ensure deployment sites are ready.
- Mentor Instrumentation & Controls Engineer I and II on standards and verification practices.
- Track deliverable schedules and flag risks to leadership early.
