Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to own I&C design deliverables for modular data center systems. You will produce point lists, instrument schedules, and control system drawings, and defend them through FAT before shipment.

You will move between design and factory floors, resolve substitutions, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring repeatable, verified controls packages for rapid deployment. Denver-based with 25% travel, full-time role.

Qualifications

5–8 years of professional experience in industrial instrumentation and controls.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Control Systems.
Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, and field verification.

Responsibilities

Own I&C design deliverables for building-level or major systems from concept to as-built.
Lead FAT protocols on control panels and modular systems and verify against design intent.
Resolve substitutions and field deviations by adapting procedures with minimal guidance.
Improve repeatable design packages and templates for scalable modular platforms.
Coordinate with control panel fabricators, system integrators, and instrument vendors on submittals and compliance.
Coordinate control loop checkout, startup support, and field verification for deployment sites.
Mentor junior engineers on standards and deliverables before release.
Track I&C deliverables against milestones and flag risks early.
