Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to design and deliver process control systems for nuclear power projects, including SMRs and digital modernization. The role includes client meetings, site walkdowns, and collaboration with vendors to develop specifications and drawings.

The position supports a hybrid schedule with in-office work 3 days per week, and emphasizes mentoring less experienced engineers while ensuring high-quality deliverables for the Nuclear

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years in design engineering for process control systems.
• Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on major process controls engineering projects in digital systems, instrumentation, and control components.
• Prepare documentation for design input for drawings, cables, diagrams, and schematics.
• Interface with vendors and prepare equipment purchase specifications.
• Develop P&ID’s and System Design Descriptions; mentor junior engineers.
