Job summary

CRB is seeking an AIC Engineer III in Massachusetts to oversee discipline design on small to medium projects. The role involves coordinating with clients, engineers, and vendors, and directing work to meet budgets and schedules.

The engineer will contribute to programming, planning, feasibility, and construction documentation, and lead instrument and control system design for intermediate complexity projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion.
• Intermediate knowledge of cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Intermediate experience with instrumentation and controls engineering calculations and designing I&C systems.
• Intermediate design of control system schematics, panel fabrication drawings and field wiring plans.
• Intermediate experience with P&IDs.
• Intermediate knowledge of electrical code.
• Intermediate knowledge of industry standards.
• Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and building codes.
• Basic experience with Safety Instrumented Systems design.
• Proficient at cross-discipline coordination and vendor communication.
• Proficient with discipline systems design calculations with limited supervision.
• Basic troubleshooting of discipline and systems issues.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with clients and external partners.
• Plans and directs work and manages a discipline design budget.
• Supports proposal development under supervision.
• Identifies basic non-compliant conditions during site walks.
• Develops internal discipline design and training materials.
• Develops construction drawings and specifications on intermediate projects.
• Leads discipline checks for small projects and helps ensure quality.
• Mentors junior engineers and designers.
• Leads system design programming and master planning with support.

Education

ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in discipline-specific field of study (ChemE, ME or EE)
