Job summary

CRB seeks an AIC Engineer III to oversee discipline design, manage budgets on small-to-medium projects, and coordinate with clients, engineers, vendors, and construction managers. You will lead design phases from programming through construction administration and mentor junior team members.

The role requires ABET‑accredited degree in ChemE/ME/EE and 5+ years in design settings, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and strong cross-discipline collaboration. Alabama-based projects may apply.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in ChemE, ME or EE.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design firm or similar setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Intermediate knowledge of cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Experience with instrumentation and controls engineering calculations and instrumentation design.
• Experience with P&IDs and control system schematics.
• Familiar with electrical and building codes.
• Strong cross-discipline coordination with project teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with clients and external partners.
• Plans and directs work and manages a discipline design budget on small projects of limited complexity.
• Supports proposal development under supervision of Lead/Senior Engineer.
• Identifies basic non-compliant conditions during site walks and field surveys.
• Develops internal discipline design and training presentations.
• Develops construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on intermediate projects.
• Leads squad and discipline checks for small projects and drives quality.
• Mentors discipline Engineer I and Designer I/II.
• Leads system design programming and master planning with support from Lead/Senior Engineer.
