Join Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group in Greenville, SC as an Instrumentation & Controls Design Engineer. Lead complex digital upgrade projects for nuclear power plants, directing technical decisions and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

You'll prepare system requirements, review drawings, interface with vendors, and support client meetings. A BS in engineering (ABET) and 20+ years in I&C design are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 20+ years of instrumentation and controls design experience in heavy industrial plants.
• Experience coordinating as firm/client liaison in a lead engineering role is desirable.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and market high level, complex programs for nuclear power projects involving design, operation, safety, maintenance, and project management.
• Direct technical decision making in project teams for digital upgrades in I&C systems.
• Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare and review equipment purchase specifications and design inputs/drawings.
• Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction.
