Job summary

Computacenter seeks a Principal Consultant to lead client engagements in hyperscale data center fiber infrastructure. You will design, deploy, test, and troubleshoot high-density cabling systems, mentor teams, and ensure adherence to industry standards across complex projects.

The role demands expert-level fiber knowledge, strong communication skills, and proven ability to manage scope, budget, and timelines with clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum of five years' hands-on experience supporting fiber infrastructure in hyperscale data center environments.
• Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification required.
• Experience with high-density fiber design, installation, testing, commissioning and documentation.
• Ability to lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across complex, high-volume fiber environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead fiber infrastructure design, deployment, testing, and remediation activities.
• Review drawings, BOMs, fiber matrices, port maps and test reports for accuracy.
• Develop and review fiber test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical guidance to project engineers, technicians and customer teams.
• Identify risks, create resolution plans, and drive project closure.
