Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Senior Structural Engineer for hydro power and hydraulic structures in Overland Park, KS. You will join a Dam Safety and Hydropower team to deliver complex infrastructure projects across North America.

The role blends design, analysis, inspections, and client liaison within a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have strong fundamentals in structural engineering, with dam safety and heavy civil experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Structural engineering design and analysis experience.
• Experience with structural calculations and engineering design.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of dams, powerhouses, spillways, hydraulic structures, and associated infrastructure.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and assessments of existing infrastructure assets.
• Participate in dam safety evaluations and risk assessments.
• Support rehabilitation, repair, and modernisation projects for aging infrastructure.
• Interface directly with clients and project stakeholders.
• Support project delivery, quality reviews, and technical problem solving.
