Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead hydraulic and water-related structural design within our dams, hydropower and water resources team. The role emphasizes project management, technical leadership, and client coordination in a dynamic engineering environment.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of structural experience, an ABET-accredited degree, and PE license with the ability to obtain CA licensure within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• At least eight years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with CA license eligibility within 12 months.
• Experience leading hydraulic/structural design and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of hydraulic structures and other structural projects such as dams and spillways.
• Serve as project manager for scope, schedule and budget.
• Prepare plans, calculations, specifications and construction documents.
• Review and seal final plans and reports as engineer in responsible charge.
• Conduct field inspections and support construction administration.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC across deliverables.
