HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer to support our Hydropower Practice across the Southeast. You will contribute to structural design, repair, and retrofit of utilities, working with a nationally recognized team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board for the job location.
• Previous structural engineering experience in an A/E or engineering consulting firm.
• Experience with structural design software such as AutoCAD, SAP, ETABS, RAM, and STAAD.

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures and materials, and perform calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development and contract document phases.
• Lead reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct design development and site sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload through design development and construction phases to meet schedule.
• Coordinate with affected disciplines and incorporate changes.
• Perform other duties as needed.
