Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team in a hybrid role from Jacobs locations. You'll design state-of-the-art piping systems for industrial and commercial facilities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver cost-effective solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, perform codes-based design, lead piping discipline tasks, and travel as needed to support projects internationally or domestically, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years’ experience in piping design for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal skill set
• Ability to perform field/site visits which may include the need to climb ladders.
• Ability to travel (estimated travel time is 10%)
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and to collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Navigate piping codes in designs and apply relevant codes to piping design projects.
• Perform piping systems concept development.
• Generate piping design calculations including equipment sizing and pipe sizing.
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams.
• Perform equipment selections.
• Coordinate with project team members and other disciplines to develop designs.
• Lead a design team within the piping discipline and manage scope, schedule and budget.
