Jacobs is hiring a high-energy Piping Engineer for its Building Mechanical team. The role involves designing state-of-the-art industrial facilities, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and mentoring junior staff.

You will lead piping scope tasks, perform sizing and codes-based analyses, and support global offices as needed. The position offers hybrid work from any Jacobs location and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and licensure preferred.
• 8+ years of piping design experience for industrial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to perform field/site visits and climb ladders.
• Willingness to travel up to ~10% of time.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and coordinate remotely.
• Comfort with fast-paced team environments and deadlines.
• Experience with multi-discipline coordination and client interaction.

Responsabilités

• Apply piping discipline knowledge within codes to design projects.
• Develop piping system concepts and perform sizing calculations.
• Create P&ID diagrams and block flow diagrams.
• Select equipment and prepare system specifications.
• Coordinate with project team, contractors and other disciplines.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis and check drawings.
• Lead design efforts within the piping scope, coordinating schedule and budget.
• Support work for/in other offices or countries; travel as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and perform QA reviews on drawings.
