Job summary
RTX's Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Department in Tucson, AZ seeks an experienced software engineer to develop real-time missile flight-simulator software. The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing build procedures, and implementing robust software for hardware-in-the-loop facilities.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in a STEM field, 5+ years of C++ experience, and an active Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or STEM field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Experience with C++ and object-oriented design.
- Experience with Embedded Software or Embedded OS (Linux/RTOS/VxWorks).
- Active and transferable Secret clearance required prior to start.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software to control HWIL facilities.
- Analyze end-user needs by evaluating system capabilities to resolve problems.
- Design and implement build procedures for hardware/software development.
- Software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
- May train software developers in CM tools and software quality standards.
