RTX is seeking a software engineer for the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) department in Tucson, AZ to design and deploy real-time missile flight simulators. The role collaborates with weapon system designers to meet strict requirements and deliver robust simulation environments.

You will develop software for HWIL facilities, implement build procedures, and support software quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related STEM field with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience across Agile software lifecycle in 3+ areas: C++/Python, real-time integration, software testing.
• Experience in Embedded Software, Embedded OS (Linux/RTOS/VxWorks) and software architecture.
• Active and transferable Secret clearance required.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software to control Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
• Software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
• Determines end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition. Ensures hardware and software standards are met.
• Designs and implements build procedures to support hardware and software product development and use.
• May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Includes control modeling (model based design)
