Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Technician III - HVAC to provide outstanding customer experiences while inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems in our single-family rental homes. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and complex repairs, with on-call availability for evenings and weekends.

The role requires 5+ years in general maintenance, EPA/HVAC certification, and own tools plus reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years general service and maintenance experience (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repair, etc.).
• EPA Certification required; HVAC certification preferred.
• Employee must have own basic tools and reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license in the working state.
• Available for on-call service, weekends and evenings as needed.
• Experience in single-family or multi-family rental industry preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in Progress Residential single-family homes.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, appliances, and related systems.
• Diagnose and fix advanced issues with equipment or wiring.
• Complete service requests promptly and communicate with residents and vendors.
• Ensure safety standards and company policies are followed.
• Maintain proper tools, transportation, and documentation for work orders.
