Job summary

Ace Hardware Home Services, Inc. in Philadelphia seeks an HVAC Technical Trainer to build and deliver advanced training for service, maintenance, and installation techs.

You will create curricula, run classroom and field sessions, mentor technicians, and partner with operations to raise performance and safety standards. The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years of residential HVAC expertise, EPA 608 certification, and strong coaching/communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands‑on residential HVAC experience
• Extensive experience with gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductless systems
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Experience mentoring/training HVAC technicians
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean record

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver HVAC technical training programs for technicians at all experience levels
• Create curricula, labs, assessments, and certification pathways
• Conduct classroom, virtual, and field-based training sessions
• Coach and mentor technicians, leads, and supervisors
• Support onboarding and technician development programs
• Train on current HVAC systems, tools, technology, and best practices
• Collaborate with managers to drive technician performance and safety compliance
