Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Service Department, drive margins, and set service expectations across supervisors and field staff. The role focuses on safe, efficient HVAC service delivery, staff development, and compliance with safety and licensing requirements.

You will oversee budgeting, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, while maintaining excellent customer relations and a professional company image. Travel may be required locally.

Qualifications

• Requires EPA and NATE certification and HVAC field experience.
• Minimum 6 years of verifiable managerial, technical, and sales experience in HVAC or related field.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to manage budgets and margins.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational practices to achieve budgeted gross margins.
• Oversee Service Department spend including labor, inventory, and fleet.
• Ensure safety compliance and OSHA standards; manage training and development.
• Coordinate dispatch and technician assignments; ensure documentation and reporting quality.
• Lead recruiting, hiring, and performance reviews for service supervisors and field staff.
