Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician in Pensacola, FL to service commercial refrigeration and climate control systems, read schematics, calibrate direct digital controls, and ensure building code compliance.

You will mentor apprentices, coordinate with field teams, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to on-call incidents in a fast-paced retail setting. A valid HVAC/R certification or equivalent experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling; valid driver’s license.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years; pass MVR.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial/industrial systems.
• Lead field teams and mentor Apprentices on procedures and safety practices.
