Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Destin, FL is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to install, calibrate, and service commercial refrigeration and building control systems across multiple sites. Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification (EPA Type I/II or Universal) and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle record.
• Meets driving record requirements.
• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Interprets layout plans and schematics to ensure accurate system setup and compliance with building codes.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues across commercial and industrial systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtimes.
• Leads field teams and mentors less‑experienced Technicians and Apprentices on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Drives a company vehicle to complete service calls within an assigned region.
