Job summary

Walmart Inc. is hiring an HVAC/R Technician to install and service commercial systems across multiple facilities. You will configure and calibrate low ambient systems, interpret schematics, and ensure codes compliance while performing preventive maintenance and repairs under supervision.

You will lead field teams, mentor apprentices, and coordinate with external service providers as needed. A valid license, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and willingness to work on on‑call rotations are

Qualifications

• Option: Vocational/technical HVAC/R certification + 2 years’ experience in commercial HVAC/R maintenance or building controls.
• Option: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and control panels.
• Maintains energy management and building systems; performs routine checks and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and coordinates repairs.
• Mentors apprentices and communicates with customers and managers.
