Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R service professional to install, configure and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems at multiple Walmart facilities, including walk‑ins and rack systems. You will lead field teams, mentor apprentices, and ensure compliance with safety and EPA standards.

The role involves calibrating direct digital controls, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with managers to schedule service visits, while adhering to OSHA and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification or 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.
• Commercial driving record: no DUIs, DWIs, or OUI in the last 5 years; no more than two moving violations in last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents operating a commercial vehicle in last 3 years.

Responsabilités

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Configures and calibrates low ambient systems and direct digital controls.
• Interprets layout plans and schematics to ensure correct system setup.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Maintains and repairs rack systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, and refrigeration units.
• Ensures proper operation of HVAC systems and Energy Management Systems.
• Coordinates maintenance or repairs under supervision.
• Leads and mentors technicians and apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Responds to incidents during on-call periods and coordinates with service providers.

Formation

HVAC/R certification

EPA 608 certification (Type I/II or universal)

HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman

Valid state driver’s license

Clean driving record (DUI/DWI/OUI)

No major accidents in last 3 years

No more than two moving violations in last 3 years
