Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages.

You’ll manage schedules and technical quality across tasks, collaborating with a multi-discipline team to meet client expectations and project constraints.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
