Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an experienced Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages.

You will lead design tasks, maintain quality, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to meet client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule across locations.

Qualifications

• Ten (10)+ years of HVAC design experience for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and strong CAD skills.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards for HVAC design.
• Adaptability to fast-paced, multi-deadline environments.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Develop conceptual and final design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Develop final construction documents for HVAC systems (chilled water, cooling water, etc.).
• Coordinate with other disciplines and interfacing teams.
