Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will design HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, lead equipment sizing, and prepare construction packages while coordinating with multiple disciplines.

With a focus on delivering cost-effective, transformative projects, you’ll work in a hybrid US-wide setup, collaborating with engineers and vendors to meet client expectations and project timelines.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of HVAC design experience for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• Ability to work in a fast paced team with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents with sizing, AFDS and P&IDs.
• Develop final construction documents for systems like chilled water and cooling water.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
