Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join the Building Mechanical team for our heavy industrial clients in the United States. You will lead HVAC layout, sizing, and document development, working with engineers and designers to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes coordination across disciplines, adherence to codes, and effective collaboration within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (chilled water, cooling water, etc.).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
