Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems for a range of projects, including educational, healthcare, corporate, and science/tech facilities. You will work under a licensed engineer and may supervise mechanical discipline tasks, including budget and progress monitoring.

The role requires a bachelor or master’s in engineering, 6+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit and energy modeling tools. PE US and LEED are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required (ABET preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
• Current PE in the United States preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Must possess working knowledge of engineering design software (Revit, Trane Trace, Trane 3D Plus).

Responsibilities

• Design ductwork, piping, and equipment for HVAC systems on projects.
• May supervise or manage project budget and progress within mechanical discipline.
• Calculate heating/cooling loads and energy modeling.
• Prepare Revit/BIM drawings from schematic to construction administration.
• Edit specifications for projects; respond to RFIs and change orders.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
